Product Description
Vintage Gold Starburst Cross Pendant/Brooch
Vintage Gold Starburst Cross Pendant/Brooch. This brooch pendant is set with thirty six diamonds. Six diamonds have an average diameter of 3.20mm and thirty of which have an average of 1.40mm. Some background about this brooch: there were different versions made, some with rubies, emeralds, or sapphires and they sometimes had matching earrings.
These brooches and earrings are usually stamped Tiffany. From the 30's until the 60's, many fine jewelry houses made items for Tiffany, Cartier and such and did not stamp them except with the gold content, allowing others to use their designs as their own. Oscar Heyman was famous for this until they decided to retail under their own name. We believe this to be the case with this piece, because it is identical to the one retailed by Tiffany.
This item also comes with a Certificate of Appraisal dated September 6, 2010 for $5,366.
