Estate jewelry is jewelry which has been previously owned from any era. Vintage jewelry includes historic periods, such as Edwardian, Art Nouveau, Victorian, Georgian, Contemporary, Modern, Mid-Century, Retro, and Art Deco periods. Antique jewelry is usually over 100 years old. All three types of jewelry are special because they are not as readily available and may be crafted with a quality of workmanship that is not easily found in today’s jewelry. This makes antique, estate, and vintage jewelry more collectible and precious, attracting collectors and fashion-conscious clients alike. It can also sometimes be less expensive (or more, depending on the rarity).
